What is it and how does it work?
This is a relaxing massage of the face, neck, head and shoulders. Oils may be used on the hair, but this is optional.
Carrier and essential oils are blended to suit your specific skin type and address any problem areas that you might be experiencing.
Acupressure points are stimulated to clear any congested areas; the sinuses particularly are targeted as congestion here plays a major role in headaches associated with sinusitis.
The neck and shoulders are massaged using gentle stretching techniques combined with deeper strokes to ease tired and aching muscles; trigger points are 'deactivated' ~ excellent for helping tension headaches.
If you have never tried a facial, then this is the one for you. The overwhelming sense of relaxation, care and nurturing with facial work is quite extraordinary and often surprising for the client ~ maybe this is because there are mini heart chakras on each cheek, a lovely thought!

Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning universal life force. It is a system of hands on healing which was developed at the beginning of the 20th century by a monk, Dr Mikao Usui. This is a healing art which is open to all, since we all have healing capabilities; it is only a matter of being attuned to use it. When the energy system of the body is moving freely, we enjoy a state of health and well being; when there are blockages, stagnation or lack of energy, we will experience some form of ill health.

Reiki treatments are wonderfully relaxing, calming and bring the energetic system back into balance. Reiki can be used with crystals too, which adds a different flavour to a session. Reiki is "holistic"; it treats the whole body, on all levels ~ physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. No two treatments will be the same, but often clients will feel energy moving, feel tingling, heat, cold, and see colours or visualisations of events or people which has meaning for them. It is wonderfully relaxing and de-stressing, and often clients will come regularly as a part of their well-being lifestyle.
